So there are several benefits of working from home.
- You don’t have to put make up on every morning
- You don’t have to worry whether you are wearing the latest fashion trends, or just your old shorts
- You don’t have to make small talk to the person who smells really funny in your office
- You can do your washing, and put it on the line anytime during the day. You can also take it down when it starts to rain… talking of which….
Ok, where was I, oh yes…
- You don’t have to make coffee for everyone everytime you get up
- You can listen to any music you want, or none at all, without anyone else’s opinion
- You don’t have to listen to the sales team making loads of noise on the phones all day (although we do know that is good for business)
- You can make muffins in your “lunch hour” and have them fresh with afternoon tea…
So on that note, here is a great recipe for Banana Muffins (which I made earlier today)

Ingredients125gr Margarine
250ml Sugar
5ml Vanilla Essence
2 Eggs
4 Mashed bananas
450ml flour
5ml baking powder
5ml Bicarbonate of Soda
125ml Boiling water
165ml chopped walnuts (optional)
And my husband’s favourites, glazed cherries
Method:Cream Margarine and Sugar
Add vanilla and beaten eggs and bananas
Beat together
Add sifted flour and baking powder
Dissolve Bicarbonate of Soda in the boiling water, and add to the mixture
Mix well
Add nuts (and cherries)
Pour into well greased muffin trays
Bake at 180C for 20 – 25 minutes (or until a sharp knife stuck in the comes out clean)
Alternatively, place in a bread tin, and bake for 1 – 1.5 hours for Banana Bread
The only downside to that, was all the dishes I now have to wash up….
